If you're in Athens this weekend ...

The 2009 iteration of the UGA/Athens Twilight Jazz Festival is upon us. Starting today at noon, festival-goers will hear a variety of college performance groups and professional bands, capped by a performance by the Festival All-Stars on Saturday at 5 p.m. Masterclasses are sprinkled throughout the day on Saturday. Last year's festival, the first of its kind, culminated in a performance by Joshua Redman at the UGA Performing Arts Center. There's nothing like that this time around, but hey, most of it is free.
