Arts! Culture!
Post-buyout critics now have a place to peddle their wares. Former AJC classical reviewer Pierre Ruhe and former AJC visual arts critic Catherine Fox have banded together to form artscriticATL.com. The blog is brand new, so there aren't a lot of posts yet, but this looks to be a solid outlet for substantive, thoughtful criticism of the Atlanta arts scene.

Well, I do hope that by not having an AJC editor to answer too that they will offer more substantial reviews and commentary.
I've not considered Pierre so much a critic as an accomplice. Perhaps he'll prove me wrong.
I've been a harsh critic of the AJC's music coverage (and the paper in general), but I hope Pierre's blog and others around the Web will help pick up the slack left by Atlanta's print publications.
